Preparándonos para empezar

Hi! My name is Stu. I am currently working with GBU in Las Palmas, and I am super excited about Salamanca Life 09 – and here are some thoughts as to why….

Hola! Me llamo Stu.

What I’m looking forward to
Lots of Sunshine
Getting to know a new City
Meeting lots of students (and not) from all over the world (as part of the team and not!) and making friends!
Helping people to find out the Truth about Jesus

Cosas que me dan animo:
Mucho Sol

And not
Too much sunshine
Looong days
People who ignore the message that can save their lives!

Y cosas que no:
Demasiado Sol
Dias Laaaaargooos

What I would encourage for preparation
Read “Out of the Saltshaker” by Rebecca Manley Pippert. Pray. Read “Shining like Stars” by Lindsey Brown. Pray more. Ask God to soften the hearts of the people we are going to be meeting so that people would come to know him!

A Bible Inspired Thought

Mark 4v26 – 29
He also said “This is what the Kingdom of God is like. A man scatters seed on the ground. Night and day, whether he sleeps or gets up the seed sprouts and grows, though he does not know how. All by itself the soil produces grain – first the stalk, then the head, then the full kernel in the head. As soon as the grain is ripe he put the sickle to it, because the harvest has come”

Seed = The Word of God – the Gospel!
Farmer = us

We spread the seed; the Word of God

God makes the seed grow; God makes people believe and trust in Him

So we just need to trust that God will do his work (which he will) as we do ours! Woo!

Sencillo.
Gracias, Stuart.
